How To Install A Custom ROM On Your Android

Today I ‘ll discuss about how to install a custom ROM(Read Only Memory) into your favorite Android.
Lots of articles are there over the net which might sound confusing to follow. Here I ‘ll discuss the flashing procedure step by step.
  1.  First I assume that none of us is expert enough to avoid mistakes for the first time. So better take a recovery option before jumping into the actual steps. For that we ‘ll use ROM manager available in the Android Market and proceed to choose Flash ClickworkMod Recovery from the menu.In case you are unlucky to install the ROM , this tool might save your money. Using this tool you can easily create a backup of your currently installed ROM and if you need, you can reboot into recovery mode by holding the power key and “X” button simultaneously. This will take you to your earlier OS installation. Please note that flashing into a new ROM would erase all of your current apps and settings. You can use Titanium Backup for this. Professional license for this tool is highly recommended.hackmobile - ROM manager
  2. You need to do a little home-work to know which Android ROM will suit your phone the best. For these have a look into xda forums. These forums have right information regarding custom ROM.
  3. Now using ROM manager you can search and download your favorite ROM (Bugless Beast, Gingerbread, CyanogenMod). Now when you are about to install , you will see the pre-installation pop-up message. Select backup existing ROM.

One thing more, you will void your warranty by installing a custom ROM. So better to keep a backup of your current ROM in case the new installation might come out to be crap one.

Good Luck guys with your Android. I hope this article might help you with necessary information.
