WinZip now available for Android Devices on Google Play Store

Now you can download the Android compatible WinZip from Google Play Stores. It works same as it does on our PC. With Winzip, you can extract .zip or .rar files easily on your Android Gadget. You no longer need a PC to rely on while you download a mail attachment which is either on .zip or .rar format.

The WinZip app is compatible on Android v2.1 and higher versions. Here are the list of files that WinZip currently supports:

• Photos and images (.jpg, .jpeg, .png, .bmp, .gif)
• Text files (.rtf, .csv, .txt, .ini, .inf, .bat, .js, .log, .xml, .css, .java, .cs, .h, .m, .cpp, .c, .sql, .properties)
• Web files (.htm, .html, .jsp, .asp)
• Apk files (.apk)
• WinZip for Android works with 3rd-party apps to open:

1. Word documents (.doc, .docx)
2. Excel spreadsheets (.xls, .xlsx)
3. PowerPoint presentations (.ppt, .pptx)
4. PDF files (.pdf)
