Today I'll show how you to root the Xperia Arc S on latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich firmware. Requirements
- A computer running windows.
- Backup all your Phone Data. Read our guide on how to take a complete backup of Android Gadgets.
- Enable USB debugging on your phone by going to "Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging". Make sure the USB Debugging option is ticked.
- At-least 70% of Battery juice (charge !) remaining.
- Make sure that USB drivers of Xperia Arc S are installed on your PC.
Step by Step Instructions
- Firstly, you have to download the Xperia Arc S rooting package from here.
- Now, extract the contents of the downloaded package. Make sure you have the following :
- A folder labelled files.
- A batch file labelled "runme.bat".
- Now connect your phone to PC.
- Now double click on "runme.bat" and wait for the rooting process to complete.
